Adding a controller to OrbiSCADA

How you add a new controller depends on whether you are a Partner or a non-Partner customer. 


Partners (admin users)

Partners with admin rights can add controllers directly in OrbiSCADA without contacting Orbital support.


  1. Log in to OrbiSCADA and go to the Admin section.
  2. Open the Controllers tab and click Add controller.
  3. Fill in the required fields:
    1. SCADA name — a descriptive name for the turbine (e.g. 12345, Niels, 25kW, Skjern, DK)
    2. SN number — select from the dropdown
    3. MQTT/S3 id — if applicable
    4. Controller type — select from your available types (e.g. Vestas Kit VMP 3500/4400/5000, TAC II NM52, TAC I NM48, WP 3000)
    5. Max power
    6. GSRN number / Power meter — if applicable
  4. Owner user — assign an existing user, or click Create user to add a new one
  5. Turbine address and select position on map or enter coordinates

Submit the form to create the controller.


Non-Partner customers

If you do not have Partner admin access and the controller should not belong to a current Partner, submit the OrbiSCADA registration form with the following information:

  • OrbiSCADA user account to be associated with the turbine
  • Turbine details (name, location, firmware version, SN number)
  • SIM card supplier
  • Billing information (VAT number and invoice address)

Once submitted, a team member will manually create the controller and user profile. Please allow extra time due to working hours and availability. For questions, contact support@orbiscada.com.
